My work explores questions regarding political institutions, elections, and corruption. I teach courses focusing comparative politics, political economy, quantitative methods, and data science. My research has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, and Political Analysis, among others. I work as an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston, and received a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
